Inclusive and integrated multi-hazard risk management and volunteer engagement to increase social resilience in climate change (INCREASE)
Risklayer GmbH is working with Technische Hochschule Köln on the BMBF-funded INCREASE project until 2025 to enhance social resilience in Iran against multi-hazards. A sub-project, led by TH Köln, focuses on evaluating integrated multi-disaster risk management in urban and peri-urban Iranian areas. A key outcome will be a versatile risk and resilience software toolbox for managing natural hazards like floods, earthquakes, and landslides. This tool will first be deployed in Tehran and Cologne to help analyze risks and the resilience of populations and emergency services, with plans to adapt it for broader use in other Iranian and German cities. Risklayer has also developed within this project a toolbox to assess resilience of hospitals as a key critical infrastructure for German and Iranian context.
