Reducing Risks Together
In the Multi-Risk Analytics and Management for Europe (MYRIAD) project covering 5 pilot regions and 6 different business sectors including agriculture, tourism and energy, our contribution revolves around the convergence of multi-risk modeling and risk management, both pivotal in reshaping the understanding and handling of complex risks.
Multi-Risk Modelling: We assume a central role in crafting a multi-hazard and multi-risk modeling framework. By comprehensively analyzing the intricate relationships among droughts, forest fires, food shortages, floods, and earthquakes, we construct a nuanced comprehension of how these risks interplay and amplify each other. Our advanced modeling techniques quantify these interdependencies, facilitating the establishment of an integrated risk assessment platform that considers the intricate interactions between various hazards.
Risk Management: Our expertise in risk management enriches the project. We work closely with policymakers, local communities, and relevant organizations. By aligning strategies and actions, we ensure that our multi-risk modeling framework is seamlessly integrated into risk management practices. This collaborative engagement fosters a unified approach to addressing interconnected risks, leading to proactive strategies and coordinated risk response.
Through our prowess in multi-risk modeling and dedication to effective risk management, we bolster MYRIAD's mission to revolutionize risk assessment and management on a multi-risk scale. By holistically addressing interlinked risks, we pave the way for a more resilient and responsive approach to preventing and mitigating disasters, securing the equilibrium between nature, health, and economies across Europe.
